چکیده
|
چکیده مترجم:این نوشته به یکی از موضوعات مهم و جالب در نظریه اعداد تحت عنوان مسابقات اعداد اول می‌پردازد که در متون فارسی کمتر به آن پرداخته شده است. هر عدد اول (غیر از 2) به‌صورت 4n+1 یا 4n+3 است. سوالی که به‌طور طبیعی مطرح می‌شود، این است که کدام دسته شامل اعداد اول بیشتری است؟ بی‌تردید نامتناهی بودن اعداد اول، پیش‌بینی مسابقه را برای بیننده سخت می‌کند! مقاله حاضر که توسط دو تن از ریاضیدان‌های برجسته نگاشته شده است، به‌طور جامع به تاریخچه‌ی این مساله، انواع مسابقات اعداد اول و کارهای پژوهشی انجام شده در این راستا می‌پردازد. امیدوارم ترجمه حاضر مورد توجه خوانندگان واقع شود و باعث علاقه‌مندی بیشتر به این مبحث زیبا و چالش برانگیز ریاضیات شود.

Abstract
|
translator’s abstractthis paper deals with one of the important and interesting topics in number theory under the title of prime number races, which is less discussed in persian texts. all prime numbers (except 2) can be written in the form 4n+1 or 4n+3. the question that naturally arises is, which category contains more prime numbers? certainly, the infinity of prime numbers makes it difficult for the spectator to predict the competition. the present article, which was written by two prominent mathematicians in this field, has comprehensively discussed the history of this problem, the types of prime number races, and the research work done in this field
