سنجاق‌های میله‌ای عصر آهن ایران و کاربردهای آن‌

سنجاق‌های میله‌ای در میان یافته‌های فلزی محوطه‌های استقراری، مذهبی و قبرستان‌های عصر آهن ایران به فراوانی یافت شده‌اند. با توجه به فراوانی این ساخته‌ها این سوال مهم مطرح می‌شود که این سنجاق‌ها چه کاربرد یا کاربردهایی داشته‌اند؟. در منابع، این دست‌ساخته‌ها اغلب با عنوان کلی «سنجاق» معرفی شده‌اند و یا این که بدون بحث علمی، به کارکردهای مختلفی از جمله سنجاق لباس، سنجاق مو، اشیاء نذری و نمادین، ابزار دفاعی و سنجاق کفن اشاره کرده‌اند. در این پژوهش تلاش گردیده با استفاده از مطالعات باستانشناسی، قوم‌باستان‌شناسی و به شیوه توصیفی و تحلیلی، کاربردهای مختلف این دست‌ساخته‌ها مورد بررسی قرار گیرد. بر اساس نتایج حاصله سنجاق‌های مورد مطالعه با توجه به شکل و ابعاد و نیز محل کشف و استفاده، دارای کاربردهایی به عنوان سنجاق لباس، سنجاق مو، سنجاق تزیینی، دفاعی، نمادین، نذری، جادویی، آیینی و نیز کاربردهای مکمل و چندگانه بودند و یکی از کاربردهایی که قبل از این کمتر به آن اشاره شده و در این مقاله به آن پرداخته شده کاربرد آن به عنوان ابزاری برای مقابله با نیروهای شرور و نیز حیوانات موذی است که به نوعی تداوم استفاده از آن را می‌توان در جوامع سنتی و زردشتیان دوره قبل و معاصر مشاهده کرد.

Investigating Pins of Iron Age of Iran and its Applications

Straight Pins have been repeatedly among the findings of the metal objects of the settlements, religious sites and cemeteries of the Iron Age of Iran. These artifacts have often been referred to as Pins in some of the available sources. In other cases, they have simply been titled as: Garment Pins, hairpins, symbolic and votive objects, defense instruments and shrouds pins without making any distinctions and/or scientific discussions. In this article, we tried to study the various functions of these artifacts by using archaeological, ethnoarcheological and historical studies. Based on the results, the studs, regarding their shape and dimension, as well as the place of discovery, had different uses such as: Garment Pin, hair pin, decoration, defensive, symbolic, votive, magic, and ritual as well as complementary and multiple applications. Also one of the functions that has been mentioned earlier in this article is its use as a tool to Ward off the ghosts and evil forces, as well as vile and harassing animals, which is still true for traditional societies and was the case with Zoroastrians from the Ancient and contemporary eras.
