Abstract
background: identifying the physical and psychological factors affecting the success of infertility treatment with in vitro fertilization (ivf) is significantly important. the present study aimed to determine the role of infertility stigma, perceived social support, and mindfulness in the success of ivf treatment in infertile women.methods: this was a descriptive-correlational study, conducted on 259 infertile women who were referred to royan infertility center in tehran and had used ivf for infertility treatment in 2023. the participants were selected using convenience sampling. all participants completed the infertility stigma scale (fu et al., 2014), the multidimensional perceived social support questionnaire (zimmet et al., 1980), and the freiburg mindfulness questionnaire (freiburg, 2006) at the embryo transfer stage, and then their clinical pregnancy outcome was examined. data were analyzed using spss version 26 using the logistic regression method.results: the results of logistic regression analysis showed that infertility stigma (73.7%), perceived social support (75.7%), and mindfulness (86.9%) were able to predict the success of ivf treatment. based on the findings, the role of the mindfulness variable in the success of ivf treatment was greater than the other two variables.conclusion: the results obtained from this study highlight the importance of considering psychological variables in the success of ivf treatment. accordingly, it is suggested that infertility treatment specialists should implement appropriate educational and therapeutic interventions for infertile women and their families, emphasizing the importance of stigma, social support, and mindfulness, to improve the success rate of ivf treatment
