Production of self reinforced polymeric composites by film stacking method [Film istifleme yöntemiyle tek bileşenli polimer kompozit malzeme üretimi]

The composite materials,of which both the matrix and reinforcing material are made up of same kind of polymer,are referred to as self-reinforced polymer composites (srpc). srpcs are lighter,recyclable more easily and more advantageous in terms of price and performance relation than conventional composites. in this review,the advantageous and disadvantageous points of srpc with respect to conventional composites and polymers and methods used for production have been explained. the previous studies on the production of srpcs by film stacking method have been examined in details since this method enables to make studies in laboratory scale without requiring large investments.
