Printing of woolen fabrics using quebracho extract [Yünlü kumaşlarin kebrako ekstresi˙ kullanilarak basilmasi]

In this study,the extract of kebrako tree has been used as a natural coloring agent. woolen fabrics were mordanting according to two different methods including pre- and meta-mordant with copper (ii) sulfate,silver nitrate,potassium chromate,nickel (ii) sulfate,iron (ii) sulfate,aluminium potassium sulfate metal salts. the printing process was realized using suitable thickening agents (guar gum,gum arabic). colorimetric values,color yield and fastness properties were determined. when the obtained results were analyzed,the highest k/s value was obtained in treatment with silver nitrate mordant. the usage of gum arabic provided positive effect in terms of color characteristics.
