Left sided Gastroschisis with malrotation: A case report

Gastroschisis is a congenital abdominal wall defect. it involves all the layers of abdominal wall. there is no covering membrane and usually the defect is on the right side of the umbilicus. prognosis is good in new borns with gastroschisis with no other associated anomalies. in rare instances the gastrochiasis is associated with other congenital anomalies making the prognosis worse. left sided gastroschisis is a very rare entity. we hereby report left sided gastroschisis associated with malrotation of gut in a full term male baby making it a rare entity and demanding expertise for its primary closure and further management.
