ارزیابی دیدگاه ونزبرو در باب نشانه‌های نبوت در کتاب «مطالعات قرآنی»

ونزبرو «رویت» و «معراج» را به عنوان نشانه‌های نبوت بر می‌شمرد و به تبع معراج، نمونه‌هایی از «اخبار الغیب» را نام می‌برد. وی با روش ادبی به بررسی متن قرآن و تطبیق آن با عهدین می‌پردازد و بن‌مایه مقوله‌های فوق را برگرفته از عهدین می‌‌داند. اثر حاضر مستندات ونزبرو از قرآن و عهدین را با روش تحلیلی، انتقادی مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌دهد. از مجموع این بررسی‌ها به دست می‌آید که آیات مورد استناد ونزبرو در بحث رویت فرخنده جز در یک مورد بر این مسئله دلالت ندارند و ادعای وی درباره اقتباس فرازهای «اسری بعبده لیلا» و «من المسجد الحرام الی المسجد الاقصی»(مربوط به رخداد معراج) و گزارش‌هایی با عنوان «اخبار الغیب» از عهدین با خطا همراه است.

Evaluation of Wansbrough’s views on emblems of prophethood

According to Quranic Studies (by John Wansbrough) , there are two signs of prophecy , namely the beatific vision and the ascension (the transposition of imagery from what must have been in origion a reference to the mosaic exodus to an expression of ecstatic movement) , and consequently examples of the vaticinatio ex eventu (inscrutable wisdom ) , such as fulfillment of the prediction (Muhammad’s reference to the details of the first camel of the Quraysh caravan and the time of their arrival in Mecca) , appointment of an animal as a divine agent ( Muhammad’s view on the difficult stopping and passing of the camel around the shrine of Mecca during the Hudaybiyyah) , determination of punishment for adultery ( during the discussion with the rabbis, i.e. the revival of the Mosaic vorbild by Prophet Muhammad, which was superseded by Jesus) And abstinence from eating the food sacrificed to idols (exemplifying importance of the mosaic law) which are examined through the method of literary analysis in the present paper.
