|
There has been a rise in the number of reported cases of drug-resistant tuberculosis (tb) in children in the recent past. beneficial effects of steroids in the treatment of spine tb on standard antituberculous therapy are known. however,the role of steroids in patients with spinal drug-resistant tb is not established. we report on a 10-year-old girl with pre-extensively drug resistant (xdr) spinal tb and the effect of steroids in drug resistant tb. © 2017 by georg thieme verlag kg,stuttgart,new york.
