Comparative evaluation of antimicrobial efficacy of odontopaste,chlorhexidine and propolis as root canal medicaments against enterococcus faecalis and candida albicans

The aim of this study is to compare the antimicrobial efficacy of odontopaste,chlorhexidine and propolis as root canal medicaments against enterococcus faecalis and candida albicans. under strict aseptic conditions,microbiological sampling is performed using agar diffusion and broth dilution methods for antibacterial sensitivity. there is a statistically significant difference between three medicaments used against enterococcus faecalis and candida albicans. with-in the limitations of the study,odontopaste has better antibacterial efficacy against enterococcus faecalis followed by chlorhexidine,propolis shows partial antifungal efficacy against candida albicans.
