   Ultrasound Guided Femorosciatic Block For Diabetic Foot Ulcer in A Psychiatric Patient With Sepsis, Anaemia and Coagulation Defect

چکیده    Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder of multiple etiology characterized by chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism, due to defect in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. complications of diabetes mellitus are macrovascular (coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease), microvascular (diabetic nephropathy, neuropathy and retinopathy), electrolyte and metabolic derangements. foot ulcer is a common complication of diabetes mellitus with deranged blood sugar level, which needs debridement or amputation. as central neuraxial block is contraindicated and general anaesthesia is risky in our patient due to coagulation abnormalities, anaemia, sepsis and left lung pneumonia. hence, we planned for femorosciatic block.
