بررسی تاثیر تحریکات چند حسی بر بهره حافظه سالمندان ساکن خانه‌های سالمندان شهر اهواز

مقدمه: سالمندی موجب تحلیل سیستم عصبی و نقص در کارکردهای شناختی اعم از حافظه، یادگیری و توجه میگردد. از طرفی قرار گرفتن در محیط های محبوس و محدود از نظر تحریکات حسی، فرد را در معرض محرومیت حسی قرار میدهد که اثراتی چون اختلالات ادراکی و شناختی دارد. تحریکات چند حسی با بیدار نمودن سیستم فعال کننده مشبک مغز موجب پیشرفت بهبود عملکردهای مغزی میشود. مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین تاثیر تحریکات چند حسی بر بهره حافظه (memory quotient) سالمندان ساکن خانه های سالمندان شهر اهواز صورت گرفت. روش: مطالعه حاضر از نوع کار آزمایی بالینی تصادفی شده یک سو کور میباشد. جامعه پژوهش شامل 28 سالمند ساکن خانههای سالمندان شهر اهواز بودهاند که به صورت تخصیص تصادفی و با در نظر گرفتن همسان سازی از نظر سن و جنس در دو گروه 14 نفری مداخله و شاهد تقسیم شدند. در گروه شاهد بدون اعمال تحریکات چند حسی در شروع و پایان مطالعه یعنی هم زمان با گروه مداخله، حافظه سالمندان توسط آزمون حافظه بالینی وکسلر مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. در گروه مداخله، تحریک چندحسی به مدت چهار هفته، هفتهای سه جلسه و هر جلسه 25 دقیقه صورت گرفت، مداخلات شامل تحریکات حس لامسه، شنوایی و بینایی بود که به ترتیب با ماساژ پشت دست با روغن بادام، پخش موسیقی بیکلام و صدای طبیعت و تصاویر طبیعت انجام شد. یافته ها: یافته ها نشان داد میانگین نمره بهره حافظه سالمندان در دو گروه مداخله و شاهد قبل از شروع تحریکات حسی، به ترتیب 84/352 و 57/45/51 بوده که اختلاف معنیداری نداشتند (05/0>p). بعد از انجام مداخله نمره حافظه در دو گروه به ترتیب 5/125/64 و 27/328/52 بود که اختلاف معنی داری بین دو گروه مشاهده شد (05/0˂p). نتیجه گیری: نتایج نشان داد که تحریکات چند حسی میتواند باعث افزایش نمره بهره حافظه در سالمندان ساکن خانه های سالمندان گردد.

Effect of Multi Sensory Stimulation on memory in Nursing home residents in Ahvaz.

Introduction: Aging process causes malfunction of the nervous system and cognitive disturbances, including memory, learning, language skills and attention deficits. In the other hand, being in confined and restricted environments make these elderly persons deprived of their normal sensory stimulations that can cause many unwanted perceptual and cognitive consequences. Multisensory stimulation by arousing the reticular activating system has known positive effects on brain functions. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of MultiSensory stimulation on elderly people's memories living in Nursing homes in Ahvaz. Methods: The present study designed as a randomized clinical trial. The study population consisted of 28 elderly residents in three nursing Homes in Ahwaz. These people who were matched for age and sex were randomly allocated to intervention and control groups which each group included 14 people. In control group, the first edition of the Wechsler clinical memory scale assessed the memories of elderly people at the beginning and end of the research without Stimulating multisensory and at the same time it was done in intervention group. Intervention group received three 25 minutes sessions a week, for four weeks multi sensory stimulation consisted of hand massages with almond oil, and broadcasting nature music and images. Results: The Results showed that the average efficiency scores of elderly people memories in control and intervention groups were 523/84 and 51/54/57 respectively before starting sensory stimulation. That it has no significant difference (p>0/05). After multisensory stimulation, the memory scores changed in to 64/512/5 and 52/283/27 respectively that significant difference was observed between these two groups (p<0/05). Conclusion: Based on the study, we know that multisensory stimulation can increase the efficiency scores of memory of the elderly people in the Nursing homes.
