توصیف صراط مستقیم وجودی و سلوکی در فرهنگ عرفانی ‌و تحلیل هستی‌شناختی آنها بر پایه نظریه حرکت جوهری نفس

انسان دارای وجودی سیّال است که در بستر آن، واجد مراتب طبیعی، معدنی، نباتی، حیوانی و انسانی می‌گردد و به تدریج باطن و ذات خویش را که بر اساس آن در آخرت به محضر پروردگارش بار می‌یابد، سامان می‌دهد. در علم سلوک، صراطی که انسان در ذیل ربوبیّت الهی طی می‌کند تا استعدادهای خویش را شکوفا نماید، صراط مستقیم وجودی نامیده می‌شود و صراطی که انسان به حسب اراده و اختیارِ آزاد خویش در آن سیر می‌کند و تحت ربوبیّت خاص الهی و رحمت رحیمیّۀ خداوند و هدایت خاص او مقامات سلوکی را، یکی پس از دیگری، طی می‌کند و لطائف وجودی خویش را به فعلیّت می‌رساند، صراط مستقیم سلوکی نامیده می‌شود. حال بر پایۀ وجود سیّال نفس، صراط وجودی‌ای‌ که انسان آن‌ را ذیل ربوبیّت الهی به منظور به فعلیّت رساندن استعدادهای ذاتیِ خویش طی می‌کند، همین حقیقت تجدّدی او است. همچنین اگر انسان استعداد سلوک به سوی خداوند و نیل به معرفت توحیدی را داشته باشد، در بستر همین هویّت سیّال او است‌ که به تدریج لطائف طبع، نفس و عقل در مسیر سلوک قرار گرفته و لطائف روح، سرّ، خفی و اخفی فعلیّت می‌یابند؛ لذا صراط مستقیم سلوکی در متن صراط مستقیم وجودی جریان می‌یابد و ظرف هر دو، نحوۀ وجود انسانی است.

human beings possess a fluid existence within which they attain the stages of natural, mineral, vegetative, animal, and human existence, thereby gradually shaping their inner self and essence, based on which they will stand before their lord in the hereafter.  in the science of spiritual wayfaring, the path that a person traverses under divine lordship to actualize his innate potentials is called the ontological straight path. whereas, the path that one undertakes through free will and volition, whereby advancing through successive spiritual stations under the special lordship, specific mercy and particular guidance of god and actualizing the subtleties of oneself, is called the gnostic straight path. based on the fluid nature of the self (nafs), the ontological path that a person traverses under divine lordship to realize their innate potentials is none other than their ever-renewing reality. moreover, if one possesses the capacity for spiritual wayfaring toward god and attaining monotheistic knowledge, it is within this fluid identity that the subtleties of nature, self (nafs), and intellect gradually align with the spiritual path, while the subtleties of the soul (rūḥ), secret, hidden, and most hidden become actualized. thus, the gnostic straight path unfolds within the framework of the ontological straight path, and the vessel for both is the mode of human existence.
