بیرونی بودن منشا وحی برآیند حقیقت شناسی وحی در علوم عقلی

ازآنجاکه وحی به پیامبران اختصاص داشته است، دست‌یابی به فهم حقیقت وحی برای دیگر انسان‌ها ناممکن است. به نظر می‌رسد حتی تبیین پیامبران نیز نمی‌تواند تصویری روشن از این پدیده را ارائه دهد و انسان معمولی از حقیقت وحی و عالم اسرارآمیز آن جز شبحی ادراک نمی‌کند؛ چرا که نابینای مادرزاد نمی‌تواند تصوری از مناظر زیبایی داشته باشد که دیگران برایش وصف می‌کنند. بااین‌حال متکلمان و حکیمان از دیرباز تاکنون کوشیده‌اند در قلمرو اصول و قواعد پذیرفته شده کلام و فلسفه، به تبیین حقیقت وحی و فرآیند نزول آن بپردازند. آنان با اذعان به ناتوانی از دریافت حقیقت وحی کوشیده‌اند از برخی زوایای پنهان آن پرده بردارند و ویژگی‌های وحی را بیان کنند. از ویژگی‌های مهمی که از لابه‌لای تحلیل‌های ارائه شده در تبیین ماهیت وحی استفاده می‌شود، بیرونی بودن منشا وحی است. به این معنا که وحی از درون پذیرنده آن سرچشمه نگرفته است. این ویژگی می‌تواند بسیاری از تحلیل‌های خاورشناسان از وحی را به چالش بکشد. این مقاله با تبیین ماهیت وحی در دانش‌های کلام و فلسفه، ویژگی‌ بیرونی بودن منشا وحی را نتیجه می‌گیرد.

Since revelation is exclusive to prophets, it is impossible for others to understand its  true nature.. It seems even that prophets’ explanation fails to shed clear light on such a phenomenon, and ordinary people would not understand but an opaque image of the mysterious world of revelation. This is like an inborn blind person who tries to have a picture of the views described to him by others. Nonetheless, theologians and philosophers have since long tried to explain the true nature and process of revelation in the light of celebrated principles and rules. Having confessed to their failure in the issue, they went to shed a little light on some of its veiled corners and characteristics.     Out of those characteristics known in the course of the proposed analysis, mention can be made to the externality of its origin; that is to say revelation does not stem from the inside of him who receives it. This characteristic may challenge many of the analyses of revelation proposed by the orientalists.
