چکیده
|
Bupivacaine is a well known and widely used local anesthetic due to its long acting effect,and high quality of anesthesia and analgesia. however,since 1979 a great number of bupivacaine toxicity cases have been reported. the efforts to find the ideal local anesthetics are ongoing to progres paralel with developments in the regional anesthesia likewise in all fields of anesthesia. it is well known that a low side effect incidence during incorrect administrations of local anesthetics is mandatory for a ideal local anesthetic. the aim of this review was to evaluate the positive and negative aspects of local anesthetics regarding to the toxicity.
