Transcatheter aortic valve implantation and anaesthesia [Transkateter aorti̇k kapak i̇mplantasyonu ve anestezi̇]

Recently,transcatheter aortic valve implantation (tavi) has been a new technique for elder population with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis; who carry a high risk for surgery or are ineligible for conventional surgical aortic valve replacement. the anesthesiologist plays a fundamental role in this new environment. therefore,in this review; while tavi procedure is examined in detail,the challenges from the aspect of anesthesiologists; pre,intra and postoperatively will be emphasized.
