Anaesthetic considerations for the HIV-infected patient [HİV ̇ ile enfekte hastȧ̧̇ icin anėstezik ̧ yaklasim]

Mortality of human immunodeficiency virus infection (hiv) and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (aids) have decreased with the spread of antiretroviral therapy. %25 of these patients may need a surgical operation during their lifetime. when managing these patients an anaesthesiologist must pay attention to the stage of disease,affected organ systems,antiretroviral medications,and possible drug interactions of antiretroviral drugs with anaesthetic drugs. additionally they must take care protection of medical personnel and other patients from contamination. in this case report we have aimed at discussing anaesthetic management of an aids patient with respiratory system problems.
