پوشش زن جاهلی و امکان حجاب شرعی در عصر پیامبر (ص)

حجاب امروزیِ زن مسلمان دربردارنده پوششی کامل است؛ هرچند در لزوم پوشاندن گردی صورت و دست‌ها (از مچ به پایین) اختلافاتی میان فقها وجود دارد. یک منبع مهم برای اثبات لزوم چنین حجابی، آیات قرآن است. در تفسیر آیات مربوط به حجاب نیز باید مشخص شود که آیا وضعیت کنونی حجاب زنان از زمان پیامبر اکرم(ص) شکل گرفته و امتداد یافته است یا آن‌که در زمان ایشان تنها یک حجاب معمولی، در حد امکانات پوششی آن زمان، شکل گرفته و پیروان شریعت بعداً آن را تا حد حجاب معروف امروزی توسعه داده‌‌اند. برای اثبات این‌که در زمان پیامبر اکرم(ص)‌ همین حجاب کامل امروزی وجود داشته یا نه، باید به این پرسش نیز پاسخ گفت که آیا مولفه‌های فرهنگی و اجتماعی آن روزگار، مانند وضعیت لباس‌های زنانه و...، مانع تحقق چنین حجابی نمی‌شده است. این مقاله در صدد است با جستار در منابع لغوی، روایی، تاریخی و ادبی، به مطالعه امکانات فرهنگی ـ اجتماعی آن روزگار پرداخته و مشخص کند که آیا فرهنگ پوششی آن روزگار مانع از تحقق حجاب شرعیِ حداکثری می‌شده یا خیر.

Clothing of the Jaheli Period woman and the Possibility of Legal Hijab in Time of Prophet Mohammad –PBUH

Regardless of the variation of ideas among religious authorities concerning the covering of face and hands –from wrist till down, the present hijab of Muslim woman is deemed to be perfect. An important source to approve the necessity of this hijab is definitely the verses of Holy Quran. Through the interpretation of the related verses, it should be clarified whether the present status of women’s hijab has been developed since the time of Prophet Mohammad or in that time there existed just an ordinary hijab to the extent of the facilities of that time, and it has been consequently developed resembling the wellknown present hijab by the followers of religion. In order to approve the presence of this very perfect hijab in time of prophet Mohammed, it should be answered to this question in regard with the presence of the social and cultural elements of that time such as the conditions of women’s clothing being possibly as an obstacle towards the fulfillment of such hijab. Through searching in the lexical, narrative, historical and literary sources, this article has investigated the culturalsocial possibilities of that time and clarified whether the culture of clothing of that time has been an obstacle towards the fulfillment of legal hijab of the majority of people or not.
