چکیده    Yunus emre has occupied an important place at the history of turkish sufism and turkish literature from his own day until the present. although seven century has passed since his death, his poems have been repeatedly recited by turkish muslims and his views have proved a universal character. muslims, non- muslims and the attendants of different philosophies find a part from themselves in his views and are comforted by them. even if some scholars called him as humanist because of his humane views, it would be obvious that he was a sincere muslim sufi mystic. his worth has been always appreciated as he wrote his poems with turkish, the language of the folk. he was a multisided person. everyone, regardless of religion or race, accepts yunus, who had thoughts of and was affiliated to the same school of ibn arabi, ahmed yesevi, hacı bektashi vali and mawlana, as a person of love and tolerance.
