   Are the Business Administration Programs of the Universities Aiming To Teach the Basic Business Values?

چکیده    One of the key factors that shape the behaviors of individuals in their business lives are their personal and professional values. an important part of the professional values are acquired by training. the emphasized values in educational institutions directs both personal behavior and professional approach of the trainees. therefore, it is important that the educational institutions teach values to their students related to their fields of education. the purpose of this research is to illustrate whether the departments/programs that give undergraduate education intend to teach the basic business values to their students, and to relate the values that are taught, with the type of the university, the language of the program and the emphasis made on globalization. this study extends to 103 state universities and 62 foundation universities included in the 2010 catalogue of the universities of the council of higher education. our sampling is constituted of 157 departments/programs of these universities that give undergraduate business education. the general introductions, missions, visions, values, educational goals and objectives, messages of the department heads, department-specific competencies and learning outcomes of the departments were examined on the websites of these departments/programs. these texts were analyzed by content analysis which is a qualitative data analysis technique, obtained data were quantified and correlations between variables were examined.
