نرخ زاد و ولد بیشتر از مرگ و میر است پس جمعیت روزبه‌روز افزایش می‌یابد و مواد زائد تولیدی تابع جمعیت است و روند افزایشی به خود میگیرد. قسمت اعظم پسماندهای تولیدی مربوط به آشپزخانه است که تقریباً 20-65 درصد زباله‌ها را شامل می‌شود. از دلایل اصلی تفکیک نکردن زباله می‌توان به فاقد ارزش مادی بودن اشاره داشت. ثروتمندان حاظر هستند هزینه اضافی جهت کاهش تعداد دفعات انتقال زباله پرداخت کنند. میزان مصرف حامل‌های انرژی با ثروت رابطه مستقیمی دارد و ثروتمندان و خانواده‌های پُر جمعیت زباله‌های بیشتری نسبت به بقیه افراد جامعه تولید می‌کنند. سرانه زباله در شهرستان بوکان 793 گرم محاسبه شد. انتخاب مکان جهت این عمل بسیار حائز اهمیت است، زیرا انتخاب مکان نامناسب باعث افزایش هزینه تمام شده بیوگاز شده و از لحاظ خطرات زیست محیطی اثرات منفی خواهد داشت. با توجه به پارامترهای در نظر گرفته شده حوالی روستای قرمیش بهترین مکان برای احداث نیروگاه بیوگاز است. از بین پارامترهای انتخابی عوامل انسانی مهمترین پارامتر بشمار می‌رود. میوه بیشترین قسمت زباله ثروتمندان را تشکیل می‌دهد.
