جمع‌ها و اجتماعات دینی در جهان اسلام: یک مطالعۀ تطبیقی

مفاهیم فرقه، کیش، کلیسا و اجتماع مذهبی، اولین مرتبه برای تحلیل انواع اجتماعات و سازمان‌های دینی در سنت‌های دینی مسیحی در غرب به‌کار برده شد. اگر نتوانیم جمع‌ها و به‌طورکلی پدیده‌های اسلامی را - تا جایی که مقدور است - در قالب مجموعه‌ای از اصطلاحات علمی رایج جای دهیم، مطالعات اسلامی در انزوای علمی می‌مانند. در اینجا نخست، مبنا یا ملاک‌های دسته‌بندی رایج دربارۀ جمع‌های دینی بررسی می‌شود و سپس، با مرور جمع‌هایِ متنوع دینی در جوامع گوناگون اسلامی و با توجه به ویژگی‌های مهم آنها و مقایسۀ آن با مفاهیم متناظرِ رایج، میزان تطبیق اصطلاحاتِ رایج با مصادیق اسلامی ارزیابی میشود. معلوم خواهد شد که با در نظرگرفتن ملاحظاتی برای کاربرد واژه‌های رایج و با اعمال تغییراتی در آنها می‌توان مجموعه‌ای از اصطلاحات با دلالت‌‌های حتی‌المقدور مشترک علمی فراهم کرد که آشنایی جامعۀ علمی با اجتماعات و پدیده‌های مرتبط اسلامی را آسان کند؛ براین‌اساس در جوامع اسلامی، انواعی از مذاهب (اجتماعات مذهبی)، جنبش دینی، انواعی از فرقه‌ها و کیش وجود دارد که ویژگی‌های هر یک توضیح داده می‌شود و درنهایت از دو حیث مقایسه می‌شوند.

a comparative study of religious bodies and communities in the world of islam

the concepts of sect, religion, church and religious community were used for the first time in the west to analyze the different types of religious communities and organizations in the christian religious traditions. if we can’t consider islamic bodies and phenomena in general -as far as possible- in the form of a set of common scientific terms, islamic studies will remain in scientific isolation. in this regard, firstly, the basis or criteria of common classification about religious bodies are examined, then by reviewing various religious bodies in different islamic societies and according to their important characteristics and comparing them with common corresponding concepts, the degree of compatibility of common terms with islamic examples will be evaluated. it will be clear that by considering the use of common words and by applying changes in them, a set of terms with the most common scientific meanings can be provided, which will facilitate the familiarization of the scientific society with islamic communities and phenomena. therefore, in islamic societies, there are types of denominations (religious communities), religious movements, types of sects and religions, the characteristics of each of which are explained and finally compared in two dimensions.
