رویکردی نظری به مسئله رابطۀ دین و تمدن

مسئله رابطۀ دین و تمدن از جمله موضوعات بنیادینی ‌است که به‌رغم اهمیت بسیارآن، چندان که باید با رویکردی نظری بررسی نشده است. نوشتار حاضر درصدد است از منظری تئوریک به این موضوع بپردازد و با روش توصیفی  تحلیلی به این پرسش پاسخ دهد که نوع نگرش به رابطۀ دین و تمدن وگسترۀ آن تابع کدام متغیرهای کلیدی است. بنابر یافته‌های این تحقیق، دو متغیر اساسی در این جهت دخیل‌اند: نخست نوع نگرش به دین و قلمرو آن، و دوم نوع تعریف از تمدن و ابعاد آن. از یکسو، نوع رویکرد حداکثری یا حداقلی در تعیین قلمرو دین، به‌صورت مستقیم در تعیین نسبت آن با تمدن اثرگذار است. از سوی دیگر تعریف تک‌بعدی یا دوبعدی در تعریف تمدن در تعیین نوع و میزان رابطۀ آن با دین نقش دارد. از تضارب این نگرش‌ها با یکدیگر، سه دیدگاه حداکثری، حداقلی و منفی درباره رابطۀ دین و تمدن به دست می‌آید که هر کدام از منظری متفاوت این رابطه را تحلیل می‌کنند.

A Theoretical Approach to the Relationship between Religion and Civilization

The relationship between religion and civilization is one of the fundamental issues that, despite its great importance, has not been examined through a theoretical approach. The present paper seeks to deal with this issue from a theoretical point of view and to answer the question via a descriptiveanalytical method that the type of attitude towards the relationship between religion and civilization and its extent is subject to which key variables. According to the findings of this study, two basic variables are involved in this direction. First, the type of attitude towards religion and its domain, and second, the type of definition of civilization and its aspects. On the one hand, the type of maximal or minimal approach in determining the domain of religion is directly effective in determining its relationship with civilization. On the other hand, the onedimensional or twodimensional definition in defining civilization plays a role in determining the type and extent of its relationship with religion. From the conflict of these attitudes with each other, three maximum, minimum and negative views about the relationship between religion and civilization are obtained, each of which analyzes this relationship from a different perspective.
