تحلیل ویژگی‌‌های برجسته نظامی ایرانیان باستان از منظر نویسندگان غیرایرانی

بررسی ویژگی‌های مختلف هر ملت از منظر بیرونی اهمیت بسیار زیادی دارد و در کنار نگاه افراد آن جامعه به خود، سبب ارائه تحلیل‌های جامع در این حوزه خواهدشد. ایرانیان به دلیل موقعیت قابل‌ ملاحظه فرهنگی، اجتماعی و سیاسی همواره مورد توجه نویسندگان غیر ایرانی بوده‌اند. در این مقاله تلاش شده خصوصیات برجسته نظامی ایرانیان باستان از منظر نویسندگان خارجی هم عصرشان (یونانی و رومی) بررسی شود. روش گردآوری اطلاعات کتابخانه‌ای و شیوه پژوهش توصیفی تحلیلی است. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد خصوصیاتی چون خردمندی و تدبیر نظامی، شجاعت و وطن‌پرستی، نظم و قانون در امور لشکری، صلح و مدارا، نیکی با اسرای جنگی و غرور و اقتدار نظامی بسیار مورد توجه این نویسندگان بوده‌ که نه تنها خود بلکه مورخان دوره اسلامی نیز به ستایش در این زمینه‌ها پرداخته‌اند. همچنین تطبیق منابع نشان می‌دهد، ایشان در ارائه ویژگی‌های برجسته نظامی ایرانیان نسبتاً موفق عمل کرده‌اند که نمود برجستگی خصوصیات نظامی ذکر شده در بین ایرانیان است.

analysis of the prominent military features of the ancient iranians from the perspective of noniranian authors

abstractexamining the different characteristics of each nation from an external perspective is very important and along with the view of the people of that society on themselves, it will provide comprehensive analysis in this field. iranians have always been the focus of noniranian writers due to their considerable cultural, social and political status. in this article, an attempt has been made to examine the prominent military characteristics of ancient iranians from the perspective of their contemporary foreign writers (greek and roman). the method of collecting library information and research method is descriptiveanalytical. the findings show that qualities such as wisdom and military tact, bravery and patriotism, order and law in military affairs, peace and tolerance, kindness to prisoners of war and pride and military authority were of great interest to these authors, which not only themselves, but also historians of the islamic period. they have paid praise in these areas. also, comparing the sources shows that they have been relatively successful in presenting the prominent military characteristics of iranians, which is the manifestation of the prominence of the mentioned military characteristics among iranians.
