کاربست‌های سیاسی و نظامی جشن‌های دوره امیر تیمور گورکانی

در دوره تیمور به مناسبت‌های مختلف جشن‌هایی بر پا می‌شد. برخی از این جشن‌ها در طول لشکرکشی‌های تیمور در مناطقی مانند قره‌باغ قفقاز، کوتاهیه آناتولی و یا در چمنزارهای نزدیک سمرقند برگزار گردید. هر چند برگزاری جشن‌ها در بین بیشتر فرمانروایان متداول بود اما تیمور از جشن‌ها در راستای مقاصد سیاسی و نظامی خود بهره می‌گرفت و از این طریق کارایی رزمی لشکریان خود را افزایش می‌داد. در کنار افزایش توان رزمی لشکریان، تیمور اهداف دیگری را نیز دنبال می‌کرد؛ جشن‌ها در واقع صحنه نمایش عظمت و اقتدار حکومت تیمور برای بینندگان مخصوصاً برای سفرا و حاکمان دست‌نشانده بود که وی آنان را به این جشن‌ها دعوت می‌نمود. بررسی چگونگی بهره‌گیری تیمور از جشن‌ها به منظور افزایش توان رزمی لشکریان در جنگ‌ها مسئله این پژوهش است و سوال بدین شکل طرح می‌شود که تیمور در برگزاری جشن‌ها چه اهداف نظامی و سیاسی را دنبال می‌کرد؟ این سوال با استناد به منابع تاریخی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و بدان پاسخ داده شده است. به‌ نظر می‌رسد که تیمور به جشن‌ها تنها به عنوان یک سنت اجتماعی نگاه نمی‌کرد او با برگزاری جشن‌ها در صدد افزایش روحیه جنگجویی سربازان و ایجاد شادابی در بین آنان برای رسیدن به اهداف نظامی بود، در کنار آن به قدرت‌نمایی سیاسی در جشن ها نیز می پرداخت.

Political and Military Implications of the Celebrations of Amir Teymour Gurkhani

During the Timurid period, celebrations were held on various occasions. Some of these festivals took place during Timurid expeditions in areas such as the NagornoKarabakh, the Anatolian Peninsula, or in the meadows near Samarkand. Although celebrations were common among most rulers, Timur used the festivities for his own political and military purposes, thereby increasing the combat effectiveness of his troops. In addition to increasing the fighting power of the army, Timur pursued other goals; the festivities were in fact a display of the greatness and authority of the Timurid government to the audience, especially to the ambassadors and rulers who invited them to these festivals. The study of how Timur used the festivities to increase the fighting power of the troops in the wars is the subject of this research, and the question arises as to what military and political goals did Timur pursue in holding the festivities? This question has been examined and answered with reference to historical sources. It seems that Timur did not look at the festivals as just a social tradition.
