نگاهی به مدل دولت/ ملّت‌سازی در مالزی

هویّت‌یابی وستفالیایی در روابط بین‌الملل، بستر تاریخی شکل‌گیری فرایند دولت/ ملّت‌سازی بوده‌است. تقسیم‌بندی سیاسی جهان بر اساس «دولت/ ملّت»، نشان‌دهنده پیدایش و کمال فرایند عرفی‌سازی عرصه‌ سیاست است. سرنوشتِ فرایند عرفی‌سازی عرصه ی سیاست در کشورهای جهان اسلام، از اهمیّت برخوردار است، بنابراین می‌بایست میزان اسلامیّت (نقش اسلام و دین و مذهب) را در روند دولت/ ملّت‌سازی نزد دولت‌های مسلمان روشن‌کرد. نگارندگان با گزینش مدل مالزی تلاش‌می‌کنند که نشان‌دهند مصالحِ هویّت‌سازانه در روند دولت/ ملّت‌سازی در کشور مالزی چگونه‌بوده‌است، بنابراین با بهره‌گیری از روشِ پژوهشی توصیفی تحلیلی، نگارندگان کوشش‌کرده‌اند به برخی از خصلت‌های فرایند دولت/ ملّت‌سازی اشاره‌کنند. پس از بررسی تحلیلیِ مدلِ مالزیاییِ توسعه‌، به‌نظرمی‌رسد روند دولت/ ملّت‌سازیِ مالزی، در میان کشورهای جهان اسلام، به‌دلیلِ وجودِ عناصر گوناگونِ قومی و مذهبی، بدون اقتدارگراییِ بوروکراتیک ممکن‌نبوده‌است.

A Glimpse of State/Nationbuilding in Malaysia

The Westphalian identification in international relations was the historical context of formation of the process of state/nationbuilding. The classification of the world countries on the basis of nationstate model underlines the emergence and evolution of the process of secularization of political arena. The fate of the process of secularization in the political landscape of the Islamic countries is of great significance. Hence, it is necessary to shed light on the degree of Islamism (role of Islam, religion and religious sects) in the process of state/nationbuilding among Muslim states.  Attempts have been made in the present paper to explain the ingredients of the process of state/nationbuilding inMalaysiathrough descriptiveanalytical method. The findings of the present paper indicate that the process of state/nationbuilding inMalaysia, due to certain ethnic and religious factors, was not possible without an authoritarian bureaucratic system.
