اخلاق محیط زیستی در تمدن اسلامی: تعامل با حیوانات

بحرانهای محیط زیستی و خطر از میان رفتن گونه‌های مختلف و نادر حیوانی دامن‌گیر بسیاری از جوامع، از جمله جوامع اسلامی شده است. یکی از مهمترین مسائل منجر به این بحرانها ناشی از رویکرد تسلط‌گرایانه انسان و تمدنی کنونی نسبت به طبیعت و مظاهر آن مانند حیوانات است. آنچه در این میان جای شگفتی دارد اینکه مسلمانان در گذشته تمدنی خود، بر اساس ارزشها و باروهای اصیل دینی و عقیدتی خود، سعی بلیغ در محافظت از محیط زیست و رفتار بسیار مترقیانه با حیوانات داشته‌اند. از نظر اسلام و مسلمانان، طبیعت تجلی صنع الهی بود و احترام به مظاهر آن از جمله حیوانات تکلیف و وظیفۀ هر فرد مسلمانی محسوب می‌شد. از این‌رو، اخلاق محیط زیستی خاصی در تمدن اسلامی شکل گرفته بود که در فرد مسلمان حس احترام و محبت شورانگیزی نسبت به حیات حیوانی برانگیخته می‌شد. نتیجه عملی این رویکرد فرهنگی‌‌تمدنی شیوه تعامل مشخصی با حیوانات بود که رفتار توام با شفقت و مهرورزی با حیوانات، این همسفران سفر زمینی انسان و رفق و مدارا با آنها تا وصول به وصال الهی از جمله وجوهِ بارز آن بود.

Environmental ethics in Islamic Civilization: Interaction with Animals

Environmental crises and the danger of extinction of various and rare animal species have affected many societies, including Islamic societies. One of the most important issues leading to these crises is due to the hegemonic approach of man and modern civilization to nature and its manifestations such as animals. What is surprising is that Muslims in the past of their civilization, based on their original religious and ideological values and values, have made a sincere effort to protect the environment and treat animals very progressively. For Islam and Muslims, nature was the manifestation of divine craft, and respect for its manifestations, including animals, was the duty of every Muslim. Hence, a special environmental ethic was formed in Islamic civilization that evoked in the Muslim person a sense of respect and affection for animal life. The practical result of this culturalcivilizational approach was a certain way of interacting with animals, the treatment of which was accompanied by compassion and kindness to animals, these companions of human earth travel, and friendship and tolerance with them until they reached the divine carpenter.
