آنتی دیپلماسی فوتبال ایران و ایالات متحده؛ نقش تقویت کننده تحریم‌های اقتصاد سیاسی

مقدمه:تقابل ایران و ایالات متحده در جام‌های جهانی فوتبال 1998 فرانسه و 2022 قطر، دو تجربه متفاوت و متمایز را برای جامعه ایرانی رقم زد؛ هدف از پژوهش حاضر تحلیل تماتیک آنتی دیپلماسی فوتبال ایران و ایالات متحده با نقش تقویت کننده تحریم‌های اقتصادسیاسی این کشور علیه ایران بود. روش:جامعه آماری شامل پژوهش خبرگان حوزه روابط بین‌الملل و مدیریت ورزشی بود که با توجه به ماهیت پژوهش 14 نفر به عنوان نمونه آماری انتخاب و نمونه‌گیری تا رسیدن به اشباع نظری به شکل هدفمند ادامه داشت. ابزار مطالعه مصاحبه نیمه ساختار یافته با استفاده از روش براون و کلارک (2023) بود.یافته ها: در نهایت به استخراج 18کد و 4 تم اصلی منجر گردید؛ در ادامه هر یک از مفاهیم توسط نمونه مطالعاتی در مقیاس 5 ارزشی وزن دهی که به ترتیب مفاهیم مالی (4/27)،‌ ‌زیرساخت‌ها (4/25)، فنی (4/17) و ارتباطات (4/12) به ترتیب مهمترین اثرات تحریمی بر تقویت آنتی دیپلماسی فوتبال میان ایران و ایالات متحده بودند.بحث و نتیجه گیری: با توجه به یافته‌های پژوهش و احتمال اولین حضور رسمی فوتبالیست‌های ایرانی در جام جهانی 2026 ایالات متحده، کانادا و مکزیک،‌ می‌توان اذعان کرد فوتبال به عنوان یک درشت مولفه در تعاملات اقتصادسیاسی دو کشور،‌ در صورت تقویت تحریم‌ها با چالش‌ها و آسیب‌های متعدد و متنوعی در عرصه بین‌الملل مواجه که در نهایت موجبات قربانی شدن دیپلماسی فوتبال در این رابطه خواهد شد.

introduction: the intersection of football, diplomacy, and political economy, particularly in the context of u.s.-iran relations, is a fascinating and complex topic. the confrontations between iran and the united states during the 1998 france world cup and the 2022 qatar world cup highlight the evolving dynamics of iranian society and its relationship with the world.methods: to analyze the thematic anti-diplomacy of football between iran and the u.s.,focusing on the impact of economic and political embargoes, semi-structured interviews with experts in international relations and sports management, using a snowball sampling method until theoretical saturation was achieved.results: the research identified 18 codes across four primary themes reflecting howembargoes influence football relations: financial concepts (4.27), infrastructures (4.25), technical concepts (4.17) and communications (4.12).conclusion: the findings suggest that the current embargoes significantly exacerbate antidiplomaticsentiments in football, limiting the potential for positive interactions between the two nations. football is positioned as a critical component in the economic and political exchanges between iran and the u.s. however, the strengthening of embargoes is likely to lead to increased challenges, rendering football diplomacy vulnerable. the research highlights the intricate relationship between sport and geopolitics, underscoring howeconomic and political factors shape international sporting relations. the potential participation of iranian football players in a major global event like the world cup serves as a pivotal moment that could either facilitate diplomacy or reinforce existing divisions, depending on the broader political context. this nuanced understanding of football as a reflection of political and economic realities offers valuable insights into the complexitiesof international relations.
