چکیده    This study was carried out to detect the presence of seed borne viruses in pumpkin seed lots collected from samsun, sinop, and bolu provinces during 2013-2014. the seed samples were tested by double sandwich-enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (das-elisa) for cucumber mosaic virus (cmv), zucchini yellow mosaic virus (zymv), squash mosaic virus (sqmv), tobacco ring spot virus (trsv), and cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (cgmmv). based on the results, the seed samples were only infected with zymv and cmv. infection ratio for zymv and cmv was determined as 12.5% and 4.1%, respectively. moreover, none of the seed samples were found to be infected for sqmv, trsv, and cgmmv. this is the first time seed-borne viruses of pumpkin populations in the black sea region of turkey have been identified and their prevalence was determined.
