Evaluation of agricultural consultancy system with in the scope of agricultural extension development project: An example of Tokat province

This study is done to bring forth the originating point of the tar-gel project, its objectives and how appropriate are the activities of the agricultural consultants to the project objectives who are assigned for the tar-gel project, how well they perform the duties bestowed upon them; to bring forth comments and views of the farmers about tar-gel. in the research 48 settlements were picked by the aimed sampling method among the settlements in the job area of agricultural consultants. a survey was carried on with all agricultural consultants, reeves of the villages in the job area of agricultural consultants and managers that agricultural consultants connected. 144 farmers in the villages with agricultural consultants were determined by simple random sampling. data collected via survey from the samples determined were analyzed. according to the result of the research, it is possible to say that emplacements are made by considering the agriculture potential of villages or towns that consultants assigned, which is consistent with the goals of the project. consultants living in the settlements mostly help to the producers who confer, but they can not give agricultural extension service for the settlements in their region because of lack of vehicle. it has been seen that agriculture engineers and veterinarians working as consultant, adapted with the settlements and they advise the products with high profit margin according to the agricultural potential of the village.
