Indentifying the Interstock Specifications of a New Apple Rootstock Candidate Type

The experimental parcels were set in 2001 years. the observations and measurement were found during 2 years (2002 and 2003). yer elması type, m9 and mm106 rootstocks are grafted onto mm111 rootstock in first year. in second year, granny smith apple variety is grafted onto these inter-stock. according to observations, the grafting ratio were found 85% (mm111/yer elması), 68% (mm111/m9) and 45% (mm111/mm106) in first year and second year, 61% (yer elması/granny smith), 81% (m9/granny smith) and 50% (mm106/granny smith) respectively. otherwise, the some characteristics of shoot were investigated. the shoot diameter which granny smith apple variety is grafted onto yer elması, m9 and mm106 inter-stock was found, as cm, 1,02, 1,03 and 1,10, respectively. on the other hand, shoot length was found, as cm, 84,4, 74,27 and 93,6, respectively.
