As conclusions of the worldwide studies a lot of detrimental organisms pest and fungal diseases that are seen pre- harvest and post-harvest, period on carrots, are described and methods are suggested for control and prevention of diseases. carrots are stored for a long time after harvest and fungal agents cause considerable losses due to improper storage conditions in carrot stores. these agents and diseases caused by their; gray mold (botrytis cinerea), black root rot carrots (chalara elegans), blue-green mold (penicillium spp.), crater rot (rhizoctonia carotae), licorice rot (mycocentrospora acerina), rhizopus wooly soft rot (rhizopus arrhizus, r. stolonife), sooty rot (aspergillus niger), sour rot (geotrichum candidum), yeasty rot (candida spp.), white rot (sclerotinia sclerotiorum), fusarium dry rot (fusarium spp.), black rot (alternaria radicina), and bacterial soft rot (pectobacterium caratovora subs. caratovora). in this article, storage diseases of carrots and the proposed control methods against these diseases have been compiled.
