   A General Evaluation of Rice Production in Southern Marmara Region

چکیده    Paddy and the crops produced from rice have the characteristics of primary food for many people in the world. thus, there is no marketing problem for production in this field. from worldwide point of view, turkey’s share is rather low in rice agriculture which has economic magnitude of 11.188 million american $. by 2007, 1 million american $ export was made in return for 113 million american $ import. in this sense, that turkey has inadequate rice production can be stated. that the people working in the field of rice where the rice agriculture is done have a high level of development, their eagerly behaviors and implementations in agriculture driven by a machine, that the factories to process the rice have been established and that there is no external dependence in rice seed necessitate the improvement of rice agriculture. it can be seen that with the dissemination of rice agriculture, the regional differences in the level of development can be decreased and ideal level of welfare can be reached.
