The Effects of the Work and Famıly Life (Im)Balance on Female Workers

The work and family life balance is one of the subjects that stand out in recent years. this issue has become even more important since it affects not only individuals, but also the society due to incompatible demands of individual’s work and family life. women have difficulties in balancing their responsibilities at home and responsibilities and duties at work. the aim of this study is to examine efforts to establish a balance between the work and family life from the perspective of women working at a bank at various levels, who have busy working hours. for this purpose, in-depth interviews involving semi-structured questions were carried out with six female bank employees. thus, the work and family life balance of women in the banking sector was analyzed and their efforts to establish a balance were presented.in conclusion, bank employees’ satisfaction with their income and career bring along occupational satisfaction. long work hours may cause disturbances in the work and family life balance from time to time. in terms of the care of small children, the support provided by relatives plays an important role maintaining the work and family life balance
