لونیسرا جاپونیکا، گیاهی نادیده انگاشته شده در منابع گیاه‌شناسی فارسی و بازنگری یاس‌ها و یاسمن‌های ایران

در ایران عموما گونه ‌lonicera japonica را که پیچ امین‌الدوله ژاپنی است به نام یاس یا گلِ یاس می‌شناسند. درحالی که واژه یاس در گیاه شناسی به سرده‌هایی از تیره زیتونیان اطلاق می‌شود. اما در کتاب‌ها، واژگان و فرهنگ‌های گیاه‌‌‌شناسی، معادل فارسی این نام علمی چندان شناخته‌شده نیست و متخصصان علوم‌گیاهی و باغبانی آن را پیچ امین‌الدوله می‌نامند؛ درحالی که نام علمی پیچ امین‌الدوله گونة‌l. caprifolium است. در ادبیات و طب سنتی کهن ایران به ندرت اثری از واژه یاس دیده می‌شود و به‌جای آن واژه‌های یاسمن و یاسمین مصطلح بوده‌اند. به‌طوری که نام سرده jasminum را برگرفته از یاسمن فارسی دانسته‌اند. دراین تحقیق با بررسی منابع قدیم و جدید با توجه به صفات ریخت‌شناسی گیاهی و با استفاده از کلیدهای گیاه‌شناسی، انطباق اسامی صحیح یاس‌ها و یاسمن‌های ایران مشخص شده است. همچنین در این نوشتار حضور سرده chrysojasminum در فلور ایران تایید می گردد.

Lonicera japonica, a neglected plant in Persian botanical literature with a review on “Yass” and “Yassaman” in Iran

Lonicera japonica is generally known as ldquo;Yass rdquo; or ldquo;Gole Yass rdquo; among Iranians, however, this vernacular name is not widely known in Persian botanical textbooks or encyclopedia. Moreover, specialists in plant science and horticulture recognize this plant as ldquo;Piche Aminoddoleh rdquo;, which has been already dedicated to another species, Lonicera caprifolium While the terms ldquo;Yassaman rdquo; and ldquo;Yassamin rdquo; were such widely used in the classical Persian literature that many scholars believe that the genus Jasminum hasits name derived from the Persian lsquo;Yassaman rsquo;, the word ldquo;Yass rdquo;, their shortened form, was not frequently used in the classical Persian literature and medicinal texts. Here, we reviewed ancient and new related pieces of literature and matched the correct terms of ldquo;Yass rdquo; and ldquo;Yassaman rdquo; with the correct scientific names on the basis of historical data and morphological characters, as well as the available identification keys. In this paper, Chrysojasminum is also added as a new genus for the flora of Iran.
