Skin and vaginal erosion after adjustable mid-urethral sling operation

Mesh erosion is a rare complication of the transobturator tape (tot) procedure. mesh erosion can be treated with topical estrogen therapy if it is seen in a small area, however excision of the mesh is necessary when the erosion is larger or if any infection is present. in this case, we report a patient who had mesh erosion after the tot procedure. her treatment consisted of surgical excision of the mesh and primary closure of the wound after adequate debridement.
