   The investigation of toxoplasma, rubella and cytomegalovirus seroprevalancies in pregnant women in a state hospital

چکیده    Purpose:toxoplasmosis, rubella and cytomegalovirus (cmv) may cause congenital infections. the aim of this study was to investigate igm and igg type antibodies against toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus and rubella infections in pregnant women who admitted to a state hospital department of gynaecology and obstetrics and to compare the results with the other parts of turkey. materials and methods: between october 2009 and october 2012, 1133 pregnant women were investigated for toxoplasma, 1292 pregnant women for rubella and 1043 pregnant women for cmv seroprevalances. toxoplasma igm and igg, rubella igm and igg, cmv igm and igg antibodies were detected by elisa system. results:seropositivites of igm for toxoplasmosis (n=1133), rubella (n=1292) and cmv (n=1043) were found as 1.3 %,0.3 % and 1.6 % respectively. seropositivities of igg for toxoplasmosis, rubella and cmv were found as 30.3 %, 95.2 % and 98.6 % respectively. conclusion:in our study toxoplasmosis, cmv and rubella seroprevalance were determined in pregnant women. the seropositivity results detected for in our study are similar to those found in other regions of turkey. we believe that our study provides contributions to the literature.
