A different approach to the device closure of small PDA's

Patent ductus arteriosus (pda) is usually diagnosed at adulthood by the onset of symptoms. in the past two decades, there has been a great advance in the transcatheter closure of pda’s. while it's relatively easy to apply this technique at large pdas, with small pdas, trying to convey the catheter in the opposite direction of the blood flow may become a difficult and time-consuming and even sometimes ends up with failure. in such cases, capturing and pulling the guide wire with snare in the opposite direction from the aorta to the pulmonary artery and the right atrium can be helpful.
