An Alternative Approach to Budget Management in University: Participatory Budgeting

The aim of this study is to reveal university / faculty managers and university components’ (student, teaching staff, and administrative staff) opinions about participatory budgeting. in this research qualitative research method was used to describe university / faculty managers and university components (student, teaching staff, and administrative staff) opinions about participatory budgeting. interviews were made as a part of qualitative research method. working group is composed of totally 66 members from ankara, balıkesir and erzincan universities. semi-structured interview forms developed by researcher were applied as data collection tools. collected data in interviews were applied descriptive analysis technique. when we take participants as a whole, the majority want participatory budget to be carried out at the universities.
