The Study on the Opinions of Parents, Students and School Counselors Concerning the Use of Internet for Counseling and Guidance Services

The aim of this study is to analyze the opinions of the students, parents, and school counselors concerning the use of internet for guidance and counseling purposes at high schools. the sample of the study consisted of 336 students, 142 parents, and 34 school counselors that were selected from 10 schools using unbiased sampling. the data was obtained by a questionnaire developed by experts. one-way analysis of variance and t test were used in the analysis of data. the study suggests that the opinions of parents concerning the use of internet for guidance and counseling are more positive than students and school counselors. according to the findings, private school counselors and the students over 17 have more positive opinions than the state school counselors and the students under 15.
