   THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS FABRIC PARAMETERS ON THE SOUND ABSORPTION PROPERTIES OF CIRCULAR KNITTED SPACER FABRICS

چکیده    Spacer fabrics which can be produced through weaving or nonwoven technique beside warp knitting and weft knitting processes, can be used for functional applications such as automotive textiles, medical textiles, geotextiles, sportswear, protective textiles and composites due to the possibility of using a variety of different materials, flexible product range and the three dimensional construction. additionally they can also be used for sound absorption applications with different pore geometry. in this study, the effect of fabric parameters like material type, fabric thickness and surface structures on the sound absorption properties of circular knitted spacer fabrics was investigated and aimed to determine the optimum fabric parameters for better sound absorption.
