PROBLEMS FACED WITH FOREIGN STUDENTS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

چکیده
|
The purpose of this study is to reveal the problems which teachers and administrators face with at schools where foreign students enroll in, and to offer solutions and recommendations for these problems. as a qualitative research design, phenemonology is chosen for the study. the data was collected through interviews with teachers and administrators at schools in denizli where foreign students are attending. maximum sampling was used for the selection of the participants. analyses figured out four themes named family characteristics of foreign students, problems faced, solutions of the problems faced and suggestions. under the theme of family characteristics, the data was categorized as the reasons why they are in turkey, family structure, financial situation, the condition of being interested in child’s education and the reasons of immigration. as for the problems which teachers and administrators face with, the data was categorized as the language problems, the problems in the collaboration between ministry of national education and the school, the problems in the collaboration between the school and the family, and the problems in the process of instruction. in terms of the third and the fourth themes of the study, the solutions which the teachers and the administrators offer for the problems mentioned above have been discussed.
