   Determination of Essential Oil Contents and Components of Some Umbelliferae Species Grown in Burdur

چکیده    The aim of the study was to investigate essential oil contents and compositions and suitability to international codex of anise (pimpinella anisum l.), fennel (foeniculum vulgare mill.), coriander (coriandrum sativum l.), cumin (cuminum cyminum l.) and dill (anethum graveolens l) grown in burdur. species used in research were produced in 2010. according to research result, essential oil content of species was 2.68, 2.74, 3.02, % 1.82 and 3.02 percent for anise, fennel, dill, cumin, coriander, respectively, and main component of the essential oils were anethol (% 90.35), trans-anethol (% 85.27), carvone (% 71.80), 2-caren-10-al (% 50.02) ve linalool (% 95.56) for anise, fennel, dill, cumin, coriander respectively. all species, except cumin were suitable to asta standards in terms of essential oil content. this situation can provide a significant advantage in the export of these species.
