Determination of Seed Yield and Yield Components of Some Pea (Pisumsativum L) Cultivars

This research was carried out to determine the seed yield and yield components of some pea cultivars under bursa, mustafa kemal pasa ecological conditions during 2004 and 2005. sprinter, karina, jof, green pearly, spring ve bolero cultivars were used as trial material. the study was designed in the randomized blocks experimental design with three replications. plant height, pod number per plant, seed number per pod, pod length, pod width, 1000 seed weight, biological yield and seed yield were determined in this research. according to the averages of two year results, except pod widht, in all characters examined differences between cultivars were significant at 1% probability level. year x cultivars interactions were statistically significant 0.01 as for plant height, the number of seed per pod, 1000 seed weight and biological yield was significant as 0.05 probability level. plant height varied among 42.50-53.48 cm, pod number per plant 2.95-4.68, pod length 63.00-70.83 mm, pod width 10.51-12.68 mm, seed number per pod 4.76-7.08, 1000 seed weight 153.33-189.67 g, biological yield 2369.9-3583.2 kg/ha and seed yield 968.3-1490.0 kg/ha. the highest values were obtained from jof cultivar, except 1000 seed weight.
