   The Effect of Different Water Level with Water Stress on Yield and Quality of Sunflower under Konya Conditions

چکیده    Research was conducted according to rcbd methods in three replications at 2015 - 2016 in the central fields of the institute for combating soil water and desertification research. for this purpose, economic production functions related to irrigation water quantities in different levels (100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and witness) applied to the sunflower during different growth periods (r2 “head formation”, r5.5 “flowering 50 %” and r7 “grain filling” periods) throughout the vegetation have been determined. in the experiment, including irrigation deficits, 17 irrigation application were discussed. according the two-year average; there was no statistically significant difference between the experimental subjects. however highest kernel yield 4533.5 kg/ha was obtained from s7 (r2,r5.5,r7) which consumed the most water in the trial and respectively were followed by s9 (25% r5.5) 4246.5 kg/ha, s11 (r2 50%) 4203.5 kg/ha and s8 (r2 25%) 4187 kg/ha, s10 (r7 25%) (4134 kg/ha). highest oil level 54.8% was recorded at s9 (f25%) while the lowest was 45.6 % at s1 (hi) in 2015. at 2016 highest value is 51.8 % and it was measured at s7 (unrestricted) while s0 was having lowest value of the oil level with 40.1 %. in this study, the effect of irrigating sunflower in arid regions is seen as increases in yield and oil level. irrigation water use efficiency (wue) and water use efficiency (wue), when both trial years are evaluated together; respectively changed between 0.99-2,90 kg/m3 and 0.67-0.76 kg/m3. yield response (ky) value was found to be 1.02 when the average of two trial years was taken. in that results the sunflower plant grown in konya conditions is sensitive to water restriction, because of the yield response was greater than 1, and irrigation interval (in konya province) should not exceed 7 days in order to obtain optimum grain yield in sunflower farming.
