Industrial Symbiosis Application in Animal Operations: Bursa Case Study

One of the most important problems of the agricultural producers in our country is; the waste arising as a result of agricultural activities can not be properly assessed and made useful for agriculture, nature and human beings. today, with the formation of environmental awareness, the effects of waste on soil, water, air pollution and people have become even more important. the idea of evaluating the waste that form together with this changing consciousness has emerged. the industrial symbiosis allows that the waste generated from any operation is used as raw material of another operation. in this study, alternatives of industrial symbiosis related to reuse of manure arised dairy cattle operation with 1000 cattle suitable for the conditions of bursa region were evaluated and calculations and design of these alternatives were made.
