چکیده    Greenhouses are controlled growing environments that provide optimum climatic conditions at the optimum level during the growing period of plants. heating is required to ensure that greenhouses are producing plants in the desired quantity and quality. in recent years, the use of renewable energy sources has gained importance in heating greenhouses instead of fossil energy sources. pomace oil, the solid waste of olive pits and dregs used in olive oil production, is an energy source which is generally regarded as fuel. in this study, conducted in the cities where olive oil production is concentrated, the use of pomace oil obtained as waste for heating purposes in greenhouses is investigated. for this purpose, annual heating requirements of the gothic roofed plastic greenhouse in the cities of balıkesir, aydın and izmir, which have the most pomace oil processing function, were calculated; annual fuel quantities and fuel costs for different types of fuel were determined and the results compared. as a result of the research, it was determined that the highest temperature difference in all three of the cities occurred in january. it has been determined that the greenhouses of balıkesir should be heated for two months more than the others. it has been determined that the most economical fuel is pomace oil in cost analysis for different fuels.
