Effect of Farm and Green Manure (Buckwheat, Vetch) Treatments on Yield and Quality of Bread Wheat

The research was conducted with aim to investigate effects on grain yield, some yield characteristics and protein content of summer bread wheat of vetch and buckwheat green manure with addition farm manure. the experiment was set up during 2017 year in the isparta conditions according to a randomized complete block design with three replicates using the koç-2015 summer bread wheat cultivar. in this research, conventional manure (control), alone farm manure, vetch green manure, buckwheat green manure, vetch green manure+farm manure and buckwheat green manure+farm manure treatments were used. in the research, the longest plant height (80.7 cm), spike length (10.1 cm), the highest spike number per m^2 (357.7 spike per m^2), grain yield (348.3 kg da^-1) and protein content (14.6%) of wheat were determined in conventional manure, and 1000 seed weight (47.3 g) were recorded from vetch green manure+farm manure treatment. hectoliter weigh was not significant among the treatments. when green manure and farm manure treatments were compared, the highest plant values were determined in vetch green manure+farm manure. generally, the lowest values of the bread wheat features except 1000 seed weight were obtained from buckwheat green manure treatment. it could be recommended conventional manure treatment in isparta’s ecological conditions because of the higher grain yield and protein content of the bread wheat. however, vetch green manure +farm manure treatment can be used as an alternative in sustainable agriculture conditions due to enough grain yield and protein content.
