   Technical Efficiency Analysis in Hospitals: An Application of Public Hospitals Association

چکیده    Objective: the purpose of this research is to analyze the technical efficiency of the of public hospitals association (pho). also using the findings obtained, effective and ineffective pho will be determined and recommendations will be made to improve for ineffective pho. material-method: data enveloping analyses (dea) technique is used to determine the technical efficiency levelof pho. according to ccr and bcc model, pho were evaluated in dea analysis. technical efficiency measurement model consists of six outputs (number of examinations, number of patients hospitalized, number of surgical group a, number of surgical group b, number of surgical group c, bed occupancy rate) and three (specialist physicians, general practitioner, number of beds) inputs. analysis of input and output variables in the study “banxia frontier analyst” was carried out with the program. results: as a result of analysis , it has been founded that approximately % 31 of pho concerned are efficient and % 69 of them are inefficient. at the end of this research, the average efficiency level of pho was measured 90.95% (ccr) with 93.56% (bcc). conclusion: hospital consume more than 50% of a county’s health expenditures. because of their enormous resource consuming, hospitals strongly influence their health caresystem’s efficiency. for this reason, hospital resources must be managed effectively and efficiently.
