Trichilemmal Cyst in Parotid Space: Two Cases

Trichilemmal (pilar) cysts are rare tumors from the hair follicle. this entity, which is affects between five to ten percent of the population is located on 90% the scalp. second most commonly seen in the head and neck region. usually observed in middle-aged female population. trauma or chronic inflammation have been accused in the etiology. trichilemmal cysts are two different forms, including proliferative and simple. proliferative trichilemmal cysts can exhibit locally aggressive behavior. even proliferative cysts can be shown rare malignant transformation, regional lymph node and distant metastasis. in this article, two trichilemmal cyst located in the parotid speace which is more rare located region was presented.
