   Investigation of Bond Strength of Different Type of Titanium Infrastructure Material to Composite Resin Veneering Material

چکیده    Objective: the purpose of this study to investigate the effect of different surface treatments on the bond strength values between titanium and composite resin. material-method: grade 2 (2), grade 4 (4) and grade 5 (5) titanium alloys were used to obtain 90 discs 8 mm in diameter and 4 mm in height (n = 30). on the disk surfaces, respectively; (a), sanding with 50 μm aluminum oxide (b) followed by tribochemical sanding (c) followed by sanding. composite resin with 4 mm diameter and 6 mm height was applied to the prepared disk surfaces and the connection strengths were evaluated with universal test machine. results: significant differences were found between the results of kruskal-wallis analysis, titanium types and surface treatments (p <0.005). differences between the groups were evaluated by the bonferroni-dunn test. in the test groups which were sandblasted with aluminum oxide, (b) grade 5 titanium alloy (5b); grade 2 (2b) and grade 4 (4b) showed higher strength values than pure titanium groups. in tribochemical sandblasting groups (c); grade 4 (4c) and grade 5 (5c) groups were higher than grade 2 (2c) groups. when surface treatments are evaluated among themselves; sandblasting with aluminum oxide (b) and tribochemical sanding (c) applications revealed similar average shear strength values. the values obtained from the control group sanding process revealed lower strength values. conclusions: aluminum oxide sandblasting (b) and tribochemical sandblasting (c) technics showed higher values than abrasivepaper application.
